We are able to supply and fit high quality folding adjustable armrests to your existing car seat both passenger and drivers side. The armrest is secured to a bracket we install neatly beneath the seat material.
A small lightly sprung lever integral to the gear knob controls the clutch pedal via a powerful motor allowing complete operation of the clutch for the driver. This is a suitable option where an automatic version of the vehicle is not available. Although in essence manual, the ‘Duck Clutch’ is ‘intelligent’, being computer-controlled, and performs a true ‘Drive-by-wire’ control of the clutch; for instance knowing where the ‘biting point’ of the clutch is and automatically finding it as slight release of the lever occurs. Full clutch control is performed extremely naturally.
The electronic over and under ring accelerators are one of the most advanced driving adaptations available. It provides a light and non-tiring acceleration control with a positive and comfortable response. The system is designed not only to operate effortlessly but also to blend in with the vehicles interior, producing that original equipment feel.
The accelerator ring can be fitted to most vehicles and is available in two versions:
One version controls via an electro-mechanical system and the other is completely electronic interfacing seamlessly with the vehicles original drive-by-wire system.
These devices have been designed for people with left hand mobility difficulty or for people who need to operate the parking brake or gearshift with their right hand. These simple devices eliminate the need to depress the release button on the parking brake or gearshift.

Suitable for left or right handed use, the Indicator extension/transfer is a simple yet effective design. The indicator extension consists of a metal rod formed to extend the function of the indicator lever across to the opposite side of the steering wheel or in some cases just to extend the lever out a small amount on the same side, therefore releasing your hand that would normally be used to trigger the indicator lever. Not only does it allow you to switch both of your indicators on and off, you can also switch your high beam on and off too. The indicator needs no modification to the standard indicator stalk as it simply bolts to it. This means that there are no permanent alterations to the vehicle. The extension can be made to the exact length or angle that you require – the photograph illustrates the extension with the end bent downwards at Right 90 degrees, this is a more common configuration)
This adaptation involves a modification to the braking servo on the car. It consists of assisting the servo so that the pressure exerted by the driver is
lessened considerably and most cars are able to be adapted. If you are driving with hand controls and find the pressure on the push brake to be too much, then this adaptation might be for you.

This adaptation involves a modification to the steering on the car to make turning the steering wheel much easier. The effort required can be reduced from the standard 40 Lbs approx. down to 30 Lbs, 20 Lbs or even as low as 10 Lbs if necessary.
Cars with hydraulic steering can be adapted and most cars with electric steering can be adapted.

The fixed pedal extensions simply bolt onto the existing pedals bringing them approximately 90mm (3.5 inches) closer to the driver’s seat. Once fitted, it allows the driver to sit further back into their seat, which in turn makes driving safer, as the driver is further away from the airbag, so safer in case of airbag deployment. They are available for both manual and automatic vehicles. We are also able to supply adjustable pedal extensions which can be set up to 150mm (6 inches)
We also supply the Pedal Extensions with a choice of heel raiser or footrest for additional safety and comfort.
Pedal Guards/Hinged Pedals
When driving with hand controls it maybe necessary to stop the accidental operation of the pedals or the trapping of feet or prosthetic limbs under the pedals
Pedal guards come in two sizes to cover all or only one of the vehicles pedals and are detachable allowing the guard to be quickly removed and replaced when needed to allow other drivers to drive using the foot pedals.
There is an alternative to pedal guards and that is the hinged accelerator or brake pedal, which means the accelerator pedal and/or brake pedal can be folded up out of the way while driving with hand controls or folded back down for normal driving use. This option is only available where the pedals come down from behind the dashboard (pendulum type) and not the floor mounted type pedals.
Handle/Lever Secondary Controls
We are able to put certain secondary driving controls on the handle/lever of the hand controls, the most common being the indicator switch. Other controls are the dip/main beam and the horn. These are placed around the handle for easy access with either a finger or a thumb to operate, depending if at all possible to the individuals needs.
The Premier Twin Flip-Ups have been developed for new vehicles which have a plastic electronic accelerator pedal built into the floor. Up until now, the only method of adapting the car to left foot accelerator involved leaving this pedal in place and fitting another pedal to the left of the brake. Not ideal if you have a rigid right leg.
Vehicles currently available are: VW Golf MK6, VW Scirocco, VW Touran, VW Passat, Skoda Octavia, Mini, BMW 1, 3, X5 series, Mercedes C Class. and more being developed all the time.
Push/Pull Hand Controls are a popular solution for driving with the use of just you’re hands. As the name indicates, the handle is pulled back to accelerate and pushed forward to apply the brake enabling a smooth and effortless operation of the foot pedals. The systems are designed primarily for vehicles fitted with an automatic gearbox and can, if required, feature secondary controls such as indicators, wipers, horn and dip main beam functions.
The car can also still be driven in the normal way using the cars original foot operated pedals by other drivers.
We are able to supply Push Pull Hand Controls with Leg Impact Protection Systems which have the brake rod concealed within a soft cover reducing the chance of contact with any metal parts.

We always strongly recommend having a driving assessment or at least some driving familiarisation with BSM or your local driving instructor. There will be someone local to you with a car fitted with Hand Controls and Dual Learner Controls, for safety, who will come to you to give instruction and demonstration of Hand Controls. This will enable you to make an informed choice before going ahead with having Hand Controls installed on your own car.
Secondary wireless controls allow the driver to operate up to 18 of the vehicles controls such as indicators, wipers, horn, lights and even the heater fan and electric windows in some cases. A steering device with keypad is mounted to the steering wheel enabling finger tip operation of the vehicles secondary functions. This adaptation is especially useful when driving using one hand. All the systems we supply have a quick release mechanism allowing the controls to be removed quickly and easily. Various options are available for the type of steering device.
There are many variations including standalone keypads which are mounted in the position of your choice.
We are also able to supply the unit as a Bleeper system with one momentary button operation for all secondary functions. The push of the button can be controlled by a soft push pressure switch mounted inside the headrest. This gives the option of operating the Horn, Lights, Indicators, Wipers and Washers without using your hands at all.
The Satellite accelerator has many unique features which make it a pleasure to use. It is suitable to be fitted to most vehicles and is offered in either fully electronic or electro-mechanical versions. Since the unit is hand-held, all functions, such as air bag and secondary controls mounted on the steering wheel, are retained for use. The power to the Satellite accelerator is also cut when the brake is applied. The vehicle can be also be driven conventionally if required.
The tetra grip steering aid is suitable for people with poor mobility in their hands. This device also gives additional wrist support. The tetra grip steering aid is supplied with a quick release mechanism. This steering wheel aid is often used in conjunction with Hand Controls or can be used alone to aid the steering control of cars, vans and trucks. The tetra grip is designed to fit modern steering wheels without causing damage to the steering wheel’s soft outer covering and does not impair the operation of the vehicle’s airbags. The clamping system is lined with a soft rubber and has a simple two bolt fixing to enable the device to be easily fitted in minutes without the danger of the device moving in operation.
The standard fixed steering aid comes in a range of styles ball, mushroom, tee and peg to suit the needs of many individuals. Standard steering wheel aids are supplied fixed to the clamps on the steering wheel and are often used by disabled drivers in conjunction with hand controls or just on their own to aid the steering control of cars, vans and trucks. They are all designed to fit modern wheels without causing damage to the wheel’s soft outer covering and do not affect the operation of the vehicle’s airbag. The clamping system is lined with a soft rubber and has a simple two bolt fixing to enable the device to be easily fitted in minutes without the danger of the device moving in operation. We also supply Steering pegs,gloves, ‘T’ handles, round ball or to suit your needs.
The quick release steering aids are supplied with the same range as the standard fixed, but with a quick release mechanism which can be removed single handily by means of either a push button in the centre of the control or by pulling a release mechanism at the rear of the steering wheel.
An infrared sensor integral to the gear knob automatically detects the drivers hand when holding the gear stick to change gear. The clutch pedal lowers fully whilst the gearstick is moved through the desired gears and releases when the drivers hand is moved away from the gearstick. Similar to the duck clutch as it is suitable where an automatic version of the vehicle is not available. The computer controlled system reads the vehicles engine revs and road speed. Braking and acceleration are also relaying information to the system making it virtually impossible to stall the engine. Once fitted, the ECU can be programmed to suit individual driving techniques, road conditions and preferences.
The Syncro Clutch can be used in conjunction with other types of primary driving controls such as Accelerator Rings and Brakes as well as Push Pull Hand Controls.
The electronic trigger throttle control is based around the already successful single lever push pull hand control system and gives an excellent degree of vehicle control with virtually no fatigue to the driver making it ideally suited to those wishing to drive long distances or indeed those required to drive for a living. The throttle of the vehicle is controlled by the trigger portion of the controls handle which can be operated with just a few grams force giving a light and responsive feel when driving the vehicle. The brake is operated in the same manner as conventional push pull hand controls, by pushing the handle forward this gives light and responsive control of the vehicles brakes.
